Motionfy ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our iOS/Android application and website at motionfy.app. By using Motionfy, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our service:
- Photos and videos you upload: Images and videos you submit for AI transformation are transmitted to Motionfy's servers and our AI service providers, then deleted automatically within 24 hours after processing is complete.
- Text prompts: Style descriptions or other text instructions you provide when requesting a transformation, used solely to generate the requested content.
- Account data: Email address, if you contact our support team.
- Payment data: Processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play — we never receive or store your payment card details.
- Technical data: App version, device OS type, and anonymised crash reports for debugging — no personal identifiers attached.
- Usage analytics: Aggregated, anonymised feature usage statistics to improve the app. We do not track individual users.
2. How We Use Your Photos, Videos & Prompts
When you request an AI transformation, the following data is transmitted to Motionfy's secure servers and processed by our third-party AI service providers:
- What is sent: Photos, videos, and any text prompts you provide
- Who receives it: Motionfy's proprietary GPU servers and xAI (Grok API) — our third-party AI service provider — acting as data processors strictly on our behalf
- Purpose: Solely to generate the AI-transformed content you requested (style transfer, animation, restoration, etc.)
Our AI providers are contractually required to:
- Use your content only to fulfill your specific request
- Not use your content to train AI models without your explicit consent
- Apply data protection standards equivalent to or exceeding those in this policy
- Delete your data promptly after processing is complete
We do not:
- Store your original photos or videos longer than 24 hours (auto-deleted after processing)
- Share your content with third parties for any commercial purpose
- Display your photos or videos publicly without your explicit action
AI-generated results are stored temporarily and available for you to download. You may request deletion of your content at any time by contacting [email protected] — we will process the deletion within 24 hours.
3. AI-Generated Content & Biometric Data
Our service processes facial images to perform style transformations. Where applicable law requires (including Illinois BIPA, Texas CUBI, and similar biometric privacy laws), we:
- Process facial geometry data solely to perform the requested transformation
- Do not sell or profit from biometric identifiers or information
- Retain facial geometry data no longer than necessary to complete processing
- Provide this disclosure prior to collecting such data
4. What We Do NOT Collect
- Your browsing history or activity outside the app
- Precise geolocation data
- Contact lists, calendar, or microphone data
- Persistent device identifiers linked to your identity
5. Data Sharing & AI Service Providers
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- AI processing providers: Your photos, videos, and text prompts are transmitted to xAI (Grok API) (x.ai/privacy) and processed on Motionfy's proprietary GPU servers, solely to generate the transformation you requested. xAI and our infrastructure providers act as data processors on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements, are prohibited from using your content for any other purpose, and apply data protection standards equivalent to those described in this policy.
- Cloud infrastructure: Hosting and storage partners who maintain our servers under confidentiality agreements and process data strictly on our behalf
- Legal requirements: When required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority
- Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Motionfy, our users, or the public
6. Data Security
We apply industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. Uploaded images are processed in isolated environments and are automatically purged after 24 hours.
7. Subscriptions & Payments
Motionfy offers auto-renewable subscriptions managed by Apple App Store and Google Play. We never access your payment information. To cancel a subscription: on iOS, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Motionfy → Cancel. On Android, go to Google Play → Subscriptions.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used our service, please contact us and we will promptly delete any associated data.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required by EU/EEA law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page and, where required by law, by in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
